Little Gems @ Standish High School

Each session is conducted by a fully qualified and trained football coach who not only coaches the children in FUNdamentals of movement but also coaches the parents in their role in developing their children’s ABC’S. The classes are structured in such a way that parents are able to take away short activities that they can play with their children at home, in the garden or even in the living room and in fact practice is actively encouraged thereby promoting physical activity throughout the week and encouraging structured play with parents and their children

Bright Stars classes are an excellent way to introduce children to football as our coaches also help children develop skills of sharing, cooperation and team building.

The games used at Bright Stars to help children develop their football skills are all specially designed to be age appropriate and child centred and our coaches are skilled at creating the best environment for your child to learn in.

These rapidly developing ‘stars’ are challenged further in these classes through lots of new individual skills and mini games.

These players are becoming much more confident on the ball and are learning to appreciate their role within a team.

These sessions work on effective decision making and allowing the player to put their skills into best use in a match situation
